Voila!

Five bags! Z is sewing as if she had been sewing for years. She really caught on and loves it. Evidently this sewing bug skips every other generation in our family.

Secret Room is Discovered

Yay! The kids found the secret room and have been using it like crazy. They will soon be too big for this kind of fun so I'm enjoying every minute I can.
(Hey, Pat, check out how much they have grown!)

There there was the annual artwork on my sewing room cupboard doors.

And the tractor ride with Grampie.

And sewing on Gramie's Bernina. Oh yeah!

OUCH ! @#!*

Oh yeah, that hurt.
Here I am, supposedly going to teach my young granddaughter how to sew. Uh huh.... sure, first, I have to repair my grandson's favorite "blankie".
Next thing I know, I'm sewing through my finger AND my fingernail!
I was bleeding through the top of my fingernail as well as the bottom of my fingertip.
Then I saw the needle....

When it hit the bone in my finger, it must have just bent up! It looks like a darning needle.

Oh dear, how do I explain this to my new student???

Deck With a View

It's a good thing I was watching from the deck as Jack hung my new Peace Flag. He had it upside down! His response to my telling him he had it all wrong was, "If this would have been the million dollar question, I would have gotten it wrong!"

Once the task was complete, he took off to his shop....yes that's our cat following him like a puppy dog!

What's Wrong With This Picture?

The national average of gasoline is $3.55 a gallon but those of us in the West know this is a joke.

New Legs

I hadn't seen this mom all day until I looked out at 8:30 last night and saw these 8 new legs! She had twins.

Just For Mom

After talking to Mom last night, I decided I would post my latest fox photos. This guy came right up to our house. I grabbed my camera and made for the deck. He didn't seem to be too afraid, but moved out anyway. Did you know these guys smell a lot like skunks? We smell what we think is a skunk but wait to see it the odor lingers. If it goes away, we know it was a fox passing by; if it gets stronger, we race for the windows to shut the house up tight!
