#127 The Reason I Don't Sleep at Night

Loaded to the gills, that's the state of my ole Chevy van. With what, you ask? Items for our Thrifty Fashion Show and Tea, which is this Saturday. We will be potting plants into the tea pots and pitchers today, then setting up the gym tomorrow and pulling the show off on Saturday.

The craziness doesn't really come from the stuff in my van, it comes from the kids. One minute they are in the show, the next they aren't. One minute I have 32 models, the next I have 43. I can't type the program because it changes so fast. One minute two kids are walking out together and the next minute they are "enemies" and couldn't possibly walk out together!
They truly are driving me nutz. At least the event has already made money for the school. We got businesses to sponsor tables at the event so we are "to the good"!

#126 Testing 1-2-3

Well, my test did not work. I took 5 photos and "stitched" them together for a panoramic view. The photo turned out perfect, but it won't upload. Oh well. Here is "our" little creek running again. It is seasonal and had already dried up; but after our recent rains, it is back and our pond is full again.

#125 Disoriented?

Canada geese in our little pond?! They must be lost. Mallard ducks, wood ducks, great blue herons and a Kingfisher as he migrates through twice a year....but not much more than that... until the day of this photo.

#124 A Break in the Rain

Jack and I went to the Master Gardeners' Fair today and purchased a few plants for our ever-changing rock garden. When we got home, there was a break in the rain so Jack grabbed the opportunity and planted all our new additions.

#123 A Third of the Way

Our daily photographic journey is 1/3 of the way through and I thought a photo of my horse would be a nice way to celebrate.
This is my boy, Buckshot, on a day when the sun was shining. (We are expecting rain all week long.) Even from out in the field, when Buckshot hears me, he'll come running.
He is a sweet tempered horse, how lucky is that since his name was "Buck" when I bought him? And yes, he did like to buck!

#122 Welcoming

Visiting with old friends .. ah, it's the best, isn't it? Well, not only was the conversation lively, the food tasty, the laughter hearty....but the outside of Vicki's home said, "Welcome, Friends!"

#121 Playground Progress

Our elementary school playground is on the way. This is the "anchor" of the whole thing. All the other pieces will come out from these posts...well, basically. It is going to be a small set as far as playgrounds go, but for us, it is monumental.
