#157 The Gauntlet
Walking to get the mail or newspaper is like walking the gauntlet these days. Both Jack and I are allergic to the wild lilac and there is no avoiding it. (Ceanothus impressus)
Allergic? How awful. Lilac is my favorite of all! And it looks so beautiful. How long does the reign of terror last? Is tame lilac just as bad? Yikes! Aflower that does survive the deer and it makes you sneezy. Love you allergies and all. Me(g)
May and June. We keep it cut down when it comes close to the house because we leave the windows open at night and the pollens just about do us in. You'll love this one...I'm actually lethargic when these bloom.
